about:
Every issue of Lodown Magazine is individually designed and so are its icons (from Greek εἰκών eikōn “image”), which define the ever-repeated sections and columns as a graphical punctuation. The staff refers to them as usuals because they are in fact the only named constant of the magazine, nevertheless their visual identity is ever-changing. This book is a compilation of icons that could be tracked down from the archives of issues 48 to 75. Different designers took on the challenge to create their own icons to the specific issue they created.
