Online Footwear Store Scoops Specialist Etailer Of The Year At Fashion Awards
SoleHeaven.com has just been declared the winner of the “Drapers Specialist Etailer Of The Year” at their 2009 awards. This is a remarkable achievement as the site only launched in April of 2008.
SoleHeaven.com is a British online footwear etailer specialising in new, customised and limited edition trainers from the world’s most sought after brands (including Nike, Adidas and Puma). It was launched as a response to the vacuum of choice on offer for trainer lovers in the UK.
Lauretta Roberts, editor of Drapers, explains why SoleHeaven were chosen as winners of the most heavily contested category:
"Soleheaven is an absolute treasure trove for trainer aficionados and has great product, great functionality and, importantly for its market, great credibility. It's a lot of fun too and you can understand why users would come back time and again to play on it and to shop."
The site distinguishes itself from its rivals by offering the end-user an experience elevated beyond an anonymous transaction. SoleHeaven transports the customer to the heart of trainer culture. There are forums on “custom kicks”, detailed buyers guides with vital information on world sneaker heritage as well as international size and care guidelines. UK customers get priority treatment by consistently being the first to be offered the rarest edition international pieces of footwear at competitive price points.
The etailer retains a sharp competitive edge by offering its UK customers next day delivery.
SoleHeaven.com will soon be announcing some very exciting collaborations with respected major artists.

Kicker Bocker Glory - Don't believe the Space Jam's

Custom Trainers series – Kicker Bocker Glory present “Don’t Believe the Space Jams”
Mysterious sneaker customisers “Kicker Bocker Glory” have brought their talents to the award winning (DRAPERS specialist etailer of the year) trainer etailers www.soleheaven.com with their customised Puma’s “Don’t Believe The Space Jams.”
What inspired the theme?
KICKER BOCKER GLORY: The first thought we had was a Rainbow Road theme. We wanted to take aspects of our previous shoes which have been popular with customers. We didn't want the design to look too childish, we wanted more of a futuristic feel so we chose a Charcoal base to highlight the multicolored fade that runs around the shoe. We added details to the base with stars and covered it in pewter to give a sleeker finish.
How many hours did you put in?
KICKER BOCKER GLORY: Altogether we put in about 9 hours.
Tell us about your 1st custom project?
KICKER BOCKER GLORY: Our first custom ever was for ourselves around 2 years ago. We had no idea what we were doing really, we didn't use acetone so they didn't last long.
